- Ensuring that no individual, including members of the workforce (paid or voluntary), is discriminated against on any of the grounds listed above.
- Comply with any statutory and legislative obligations to eliminate discrimination and increase equity in sport
- Ensuring that equity and the provision of equal opportunities are integral to the development and delivery of our policies, procedures, actions, investment and communications
- Ensuring that SANA is an equitable employer, recognising and encouraging diversity, inclusion and respect in the workforce
- Increasing where possible, the under-represented groups in our workforce
- Encouraging and supporting our members to take positive action towards achieving equity in clubs and in angling Equal Opportunities Policy:
The Equal Opportunities Policy identifies the following aims:
- Eliminating any barriers or ‘perceived’ barriers to participation within the Association and club structure
- Ensuring that all members are aware of, understand and follow the Association’s Equity statement
- Increasing awareness within the Association and clubs of the needs of those who face discrimination
- Ensuring that the Association considers Equal Opportunities in all its activities
- Ensuring that where practical, access to waters are accessible to all, including those with physical disabilities
- Ensuring that the rules of the Association state that discriminatory language or behaviour is not acceptable in any form
- Ensuring that the implementation of the policy is reviewed regularly and monitored for effectiveness.
